I didn't start my career behind a desk.

Before I ever looked at the tax code, I was wearing work boots. After serving in the Air Force, I went straight into the dirt, building commercial swimming pools in Florida. I eventually secured my general contractor's licenses in California and Arizona, expanding my own commercial and residential construction projects across the country—from North Carolina to the West Coast.

I know exactly what it takes to make payroll, deal with fluctuating material costs, and fight for tight margins on a job site.

After decades of building businesses and leading national sales teams, I realized something critical: the government offers valuable tax incentives for the very problem-solving work tradespeople do every day, yet many businesses are missing out on them.

For the last 10+ years, I've dedicated my focus to helping small and mid-sized businesses—especially construction and specialty trade owners—recover tax savings they may have overlooked.

With more than 30 years of experience in accounting and corporate finance, Brett brings extensive financial leadership across construction, agriculture, manufacturing, and distribution. He has held executive finance positions with Idaho-based companies, helping businesses strengthen operations and improve profitability.

Mike Schulz

Certified Public Accountant

With extensive experience in tax compliance, public accounting, and financial management, Mike brings technical expertise and practical business leadership. He helps business owners simplify financial challenges and establish dependable accounting processes.

Mike began his career at EY and spent seven years as a nonprofit CFO before returning to public accounting. As President of Accounting Processes, Inc., he combines CPA expertise with the perspective of an executive who understands business operations.

His areas of expertise include:
